Our Journey
We began with a single loaf, a modest oven, and a stubborn belief that bread could be more than food - it could be a quiet kind of joy. In the early mornings at WYC Bintaro, the kitchen smelled of slow-fermenting dough and the clean tang of sea salt while sunlight slipped across wooden counters.
That first sourdough, a dream kneaded into life by hands that loved the process, taught us patience and gave us a language to share: crumb, crust, and care.
As days turned into routines, our little bakehouse became a sanctuary where recipes carried stories. Salt bread taught us the beauty of simple, honest flavor, while sourdough reminded us to honor time. Each batch was an experiment in kindness - feeding starter, tending ovens, listening to what the dough needed. On weekends we bring out extra treats: light cakes, warm scones, flaky pastries, and shared plates meant for gathering, turning mornings into moments where friends, families, and neighbors linger together.
We grew thoughtfully, choosing ingredients and methods that respect both craft and community. Local farmers, old recipes, and honest technique shaped our menu, while simple touches - a mismatched cup on the counter, a handwritten note on a box - made our service personal. The bakehouse sits within a lively corner of WYC Bintaro where Adya Yoga Paramhansa brings calm and WYC Padel brings friendly energy; the mix of quiet practice and joyful play helps our space feel whole.

We're tucked inside WYC Bintaro, a peaceful corner where community comes together. You'll find Ube Bakehouse near the main courtyard beside the Adya Yoga Paramhansa studio and opposite the WYC Padel courts - listen for the scent of fresh bread and the warmth of morning sunlight.
